Holly Peterson is a journalist and the author of six books, including the New York Times bestselling novel The Manny. She writes features and the "Earn Your Luck" column for The Wall Street Journal, where she interviews the most powerful people in business and culture about the role of luck, instinct, and how they did what they did.
Before turning to writing, Holly spent more than a decade as an Emmy Award-winning producer for ABC News, covering everything from the O.J. Simpson trial to global politics. She was a Contributing Editor for Newsweek and an Editor-at-Large for Tina Brown's Talk magazine.
Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Town & Country, Departures, Elle Decor, The Daily Beast, and numerous other publications.
She publishes the Substack newsletter Wheels Up, where she shares highlights from her WSJ columns and original reporting.
